Rustication (Temporary Removal)

  • The Head of Institute may rusticate a student for misconduct or gross breach of discipline.
  • Rustication results in the loss of up to one academic year.
  • A rusticated student may rejoin the class after the penalty period, and no tuition fee will be charged for the rustication period.

 

Expulsion (Permanent Removal)

A student may be expelled for a period of up to two academic years based on:

  • Misconduct or serious violation of discipline
  • Recommendation from the Institute’s Disciplinary Committee

 

Expulsion results in:

  • Removal of the student’s name from institute records
  • Loss of academic year(s) without re-admission rights

 

A student expelled from GINAHS may be re-admitted after serving the penalty and clearing all dues.

 

Appeal Process for Rustication/Expulsion

  • Appeals must be submitted to the Head of Institute within 15 days of notification.
  • The Head of Institute may form a committee to review the appeal.
  • Final decisions of the institute are NOT challengeable in any court of law.
